Rai is the son of a prostitute. That’s it.

His mother was a member of one of the most famous brothels in Summerlands, her beauty would enchant all who happened upon her. After one particular client Rai’s mother found out she was pregnant. She quit shortly thereafter. She picked up a job at local tailors and right before Rai was born, she married the owner.

Since Rai was the first male, his step father spent years teaching him how to sew and become an excellent tailor. Though he liked his step father, Rai always wondered about his real father. During an outing with his father, Rai came across another neppen who looked eerily similar to himself, turns out it was his half brother! Rai learned little bits of information about this father and decided to save up some money to go searching for him, or at least move out of the house.

Rai gave up after a few years of searching, so he took what was left of his money and moved to Sol. He hoped he could make a name for himself and maybe find his father.
